Privacy policy
Last updated: 20 May 2026
Shodkk is an invite-only app for the Mali Samaj. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.
Information we collect
- Account & profile — name, phone number or email, native place, your Samaj, and optional details like skills, photo and family information you choose to add.
- Trust network — who invited you, who gave you Olakh, and the invites you send. This is how the Samaj's trust works.
- Activity — posts on the Garaj board, SOS requests, Kosh contributions and applications, RSVPs, and the Karma you earn.
- Device & diagnostics — app version, crash logs, and a push token so we can deliver notifications.
How we use it
To run the app you joined: check your invite, show you the directory and the board, route SOS alerts to nearby members, run the Kosh, and send notifications. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
Your profile and contributions are visible to members of your Samaj — that is the point of a member directory. They are not public and are not visible to anyone outside the Samaj.
Third-party services
- Supabase — sign-in and database (hosted on AWS).
- Firebase — crash reporting (Crashlytics) and push delivery (Cloud Messaging).
- Vercel — hosts this website and its link previews.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr — deliver the website's fonts and sign-in library; like any web request, they see your IP address.
- Your browser — the website keeps your language, your sign-in session and an unused invite code in local storage. No advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can edit your profile, control notification and visibility settings, and delete your account at any time from Settings in the app — see the Delete account page. You can also email us to see or remove your data.
