Phule Scholarships 2026-27: ₹200 awards for Mali samaj students

By: Shodkk ·

The Phule Scholarships 2026-27 are two monthly community scholarships on Shodkk for Mali samaj students: one for boys and one for girls. Every month, each scholarship has 50 places, and each chosen student is paid ₹200 by UPI, straight from the donor. Round 1 closes on 10 November 2026, and you do not need any documents to start your application.

The Mahatma Jotirao Phule Scholarship 2026-27 (for boys) and the Savitribai Phule Scholarship 2026-27 (for girls) are run on Shodkk (शोधक्क). This is the community's own scholarship, not a government scheme. For government scholarships, see MahaDBT.

Who can apply?

You can apply if all three of these are true:

  1. You are a student from the Mali samaj.
  2. In 2026-27 you are studying in 10th, 12th, ITI, a diploma or a degree course.
  3. You need help to pay for your studies.

Boys apply for the Mahatma Jotirao Phule Scholarship and girls for the Savitribai Phule Scholarship. If the student is under 18, tick "I am under 18" and the form also asks for a parent's or guardian's name and mobile number.

How to apply, step by step

  1. **Open the Phule Scholarships page.** You will see the boys' and the girls' scholarship.
  2. Tap Apply on the scholarship meant for you. That choice decides boy or girl.
  3. Fill in the short form: full name, mobile number, what you are studying, your school or college, and 20 to 300 characters on what this money will help you with. Tick that you meet the conditions and that what you wrote is true.
  4. Save your application by creating an account with your email and a password of at least 8 characters (or sign in if you already have one). If you have an invite code, enter it here; the member who invited you then vouches for you. If an email link arrives, open it to finish. Your place is not held until you save.
  5. Go to your application page. It shows a short "what is left" list.
  6. Get verified as a member. A donor can choose your application only after you are verified.
  7. Add your photo and date of birth, and your UPI ID and college. Without a UPI ID the donor cannot pay you, so do not skip this.

Until you are verified, you can have at most 3 applications waiting for verification.

How selection and payment work

Each month runs on the same calendar:

DateWhat happens
1st to 10thStudents apply
By the 13thThe donor chooses the students
By the 28thEach chosen student is paid ₹200 by UPI

Not chosen? The form has an option, "If I am not chosen this month, apply for me next month too", and it is ticked already. Leave it ticked and your application moves to the next month by itself. If you untick it, you will need to apply again next month.

One award per student: a student can receive each scholarship series only once, so that over five months the help reaches as many different students as possible.

Places are limited, so applying does not guarantee a scholarship. What you can control is applying early and finishing every step on your application page.

Not the government's Phule or Savitribai Phule schemes

Several Maharashtra government schemes and bodies also carry the names of Mahatma Phule or Savitribai Phule, for example the Dnyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Aadhar Yojana of the Other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department, and Mahajyoti (the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research and Training Institute). Those are government programmes with their own rules and their own application process.

The Shodkk Phule Scholarships are run by the Shodkk community, with money from community donors. They are separate from, and do not replace, government scholarships on MahaDBT or the National Scholarship Portal. Check your eligibility for both:

Always confirm government deadlines and amounts on the official portal itself.

Apply before 10 November

If you, your child, or a student you know from the Mali samaj is in 10th, 12th, ITI, a diploma or a degree, share this page with them. Applications are made on the Phule Scholarships page, and every open scholarship is listed on Kosh.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Phule Scholarship 2026-27 a government scheme?

No. It is the community's own scholarship on Shodkk, paid by community donors to Mali samaj students. Maharashtra government scholarships are applied for separately on the MahaDBT portal (mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in), and a student may be eligible for both.

What is the last date to apply?

Round 1 (November 2026) closes on 10 November 2026 at 11:59 pm IST. After that, you can apply between the 1st and the 10th of each month until March 2027.

How much money does a student get?

Each chosen student gets ₹200. Each scholarship has 50 places every month: one for boys, one for girls.

Do I need documents to apply?

No documents are needed to start. You fill in a short form and save it by creating an account with your email and a password. Later, on your application page, you get verified as a member and add your photo, date of birth, UPI ID and college.

What happens if I am not chosen this month?

The form has an option, 'If I am not chosen this month, apply for me next month too', which is ticked already. If you leave it ticked, your application moves to the next month's round by itself and you do not fill in the form again.

How is the money paid?

The donor sends it by UPI directly to the student, by the 28th of the month. Shodkk never holds the money.

Can the same student get the scholarship every month?

No. A student can receive each scholarship series only once, so the help reaches as many different students as possible.
